Sorry we've been so negligent with the blog, but we have just recently started getting over something really nasty that invaded our house almost a month ago. Let's just say it involved antibiotics and [no kidding] over 8 boxes of Puffs.
Last weekend, Nathaniel turned 18 months. We just can't believe it. What happened to our little (okay, not so little) baby. He's really turned into a little (again, size is relative) boy. We celebrated his milestone with his first trip to the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum to have a play date with Maddie. You might remember her from a previous blog post. Anyway, Nathaniel had lots of fun going down the slide, playing with water and looking at fish. You can see some of the photos here, but we unfortunately didn't get any photos of him playing with the water or watching the fish (bad, bad parents).
The photo below probably best demonstrates our most common view of Nathaniel nowadays.
He's always running away from us. We really can't turn away for a second. It seems as though "stop" or "wait" are being interpreted as "go faster" and "try to keep away from us." He's full of curiosity and very little fear. A charming but very dangerous combination. He's definitely keeping us on our toes.
We'll try to do a better job of keeping the blog up to date now that we're healthier and semesters are winding down. I think we're in for a very "interesting" summer...sigh. ;-)
